Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and we log it here. This page is the record.

Rates, thresholds, and tax rules change, and we make mistakes like anyone else. If you spot an error, email hello@43dots.com with the page and the problem. Confirmed errors get corrected quickly, and material corrections are listed here with the date.

  • 2026-08-04 · Samsung Galaxy Card vs. Apple Card (withdrawn)
The article stated the Samsung Galaxy Card in India was issued in partnership with HDFC Bank, and gave cashback figures as approximate ranges. Samsung's India card was issued with Axis Bank, and the cashback figures were not verified against a primary source. The article was unpublished rather than corrected, because its underlying sourcing was unreliable. This error is the reason the sourcing rules in our editorial policy were rewritten.

How we try to avoid them

Every number we publish has to come from a primary source we opened ourselves: the IRS, the Federal Reserve, the CFPB, a credit bureau, or the institution's own page. Where a figure is a projection rather than an official published number, we say so in the text and show the method. See our editorial policy for the full process.
